Good-bye Toxins!

No one wants to drink toxins intentionally, but without knowing what is in your drinking water, you may be doing just that. Pure drinking water is a precious natural resource and one that should never be taken for granted. But the truth is, not all drinking water is pure and safe, and there are some major toxins out there threatening the water you are drinking, and threatening your health. A recent article from Prison Planet describes the importance of pure drinking water and what consumers should be aware of and protect themselves from. The time to consider a home drinking water system to filter your water may never be better.

According to the article, “Every metabolic function depends on the presence of water. Cities are built around abundant supplies of water. There are many industrial toxins present in our municipal water sources that must be avoided. Water is absolutely necessary for optimizing energy production and detoxification abilities within the body. The ideal source of water is as pure and unadulterated as possible from a natural spring. Unfortunately, our water supply is loaded with toxic contaminants.” Some of these contaminants include arsenic, aluminum, fluoride, and chlorine.

Arsenic is actually a powerful cancer-causing agent that can be found in drinking water. The Natural Resources Defense Council estimates that as many as 56 million Americans living in 25 states drink water with unsafe arsenic levels. Because this is such a serious contaminant, the EPA actually lowered the maximum level permitted in drinking water in 2001. Another toxin is the heavy metal aluminum. It is linked with neurological, gastrointestinal and liver damage. Most city water has elevated levels of aluminum. Aluminum competes with calcium for skeletal absorption but does not mimic calcium’s effects in the body. Similarly, aluminum causes deficiencies other critical minerals and disorients the immune system. Fluoride is a highly potent free radical in the body that damages neurological tissue, injures the immune system and hampers thyroid function among many other problems. As stated in this article, a 2006 report by the National Research Council of The National Academies states, “Fluoride is an endocrine disruptor in the broad sense of altering normal endocrine function.” Lastly, when chlorine used to sterilize drinking water is not filtered out, and is instead consumed in tap water, it destroys the natural microflora throughout the body. This adversely affects natural immunity and dramatically increases the risk for immune disorders and cancer.

These are some of the most serious toxins but by no means are they the only ones that you should be protecting your drinking water from. We encourage you to look into a home drinking water systems which will filter your water for an affordable price and with an eco-friendly technology. With the smartest drinking water system on the market, your water will be as clean as the precious resource it was meant to be. Protecting it from chemicals and other environmental factors could be one of the smartest moves you make when it comes to your family’s health. To read more from this article, click here.
